Venus ℞ square Pluto in Aquarius · Sun trine North Node in Aquarius

The headline today is Venus retrograde exactly square Pluto, barely a tenth of a degree past partile. Venus is already compromised: retrograde, combust the Sun, and in detriment in Scorpio. The square to Pluto is the kind of transit that doesn't announce itself so much as reveal what was already underway. Whatever surfaced around a relationship, a valuation, a desire you'd been quietly revising, that's the material. The square is separating, which usually means the pressure has already done its work, but with Venus this impaired I'd say the aftershocks run longer than the orb suggests.

Against that, the Sun applies to trine the North Node from Libra. The Sun is in fall here, so I don't want to overstate it, but there's a mutual reception by exaltation with Saturn in Aries, and that reception is doing more structural work than either planet manages alone. Each is weak in its own sign and borrowing legitimacy from the other. It's the kind of configuration where a measured decision, especially one involving fairness or formal commitment, lands better than it should on paper.

Mercury in Scorpio squares Jupiter in Leo, applying. Expect overstatement, particularly in writing, particularly about things you feel strongly. Jupiter is moving fast and ungoverned by dignity in Leo; Mercury has the depth but not the restraint. Mars trine Saturn softens this somewhat since Saturn is received by Mars, so disciplined effort rewards itself quietly in the background.

The Moon spends the day in Aquarius in the Girl mansion, which favors detailed, patient craft, needlework, editing, the small-scale work of hands. First quarter phase, so there's forward pressure on whatever was initiated at the new Moon.

The outer planets are doing their slow trine-and-sextile dance behind all this. I'll leave them to it.
