Planetary Positions · Noon UTC
The headline today is the Sun opposed Saturn at exact degree, both of them weakened, Sun in fall in Libra and Saturn in fall in Aries. What saves this from being simply miserable is the mutual reception by exaltation: each planet is sitting in the sign where the other is honored, so they can hand authority back and forth even while visibly struggling. The opposition still reads as a confrontation between what you want to shine at and what structure permits, but the two sides are, unusually, speaking the same language. I'd read this as a day when a limit becomes negotiable precisely because both parties recognize the other's standing.
The Sun is also within a degree of Vindemiatrix, which traditionally carries the flavor of quiet bereavement, the loss that attends a harvest. Combined with the Saturn opposition, I'd expect some endings to land today that have been pending for a while, and to land more gently than feared.
Mars opposed Pluto is separating but still close, and it's the kind of aspect where a power struggle from the last few days is still reverberating. The trine to Neptune softens Mars's edge, gives it somewhere to drain. Mercury square Pluto is the mental residue of the same fight. None of this is fresh; it's the tail.
The Moon is at home in Cancer, in the Well mansion, close to Pollux, until late evening UTC when she moves into Leo to join Jupiter. The Well mansion wants nourishment drawn up from depth; Pollux adds a willingness to make the audacious move. Earlier in this piece I called the Sun-Saturn a negotiation. The lunar picture complicates that: the Moon is the strongest body in the chart today, and she is not negotiating with anyone. She's drawing water.
Venus stationary retrograde in Scorpio sits underneath all of it, unmoving. Neptune square Lilith is background weather and I'll leave it there.
