Planetary Positions · Noon UTC
The headline is the Sun opposing Saturn across the Libra-Aries axis, both planets in fall and both held together by a mutual reception by exaltation. This is the aspect to sit with today. Two debilitated planets propping each other up through reception is a strange configuration: neither is strong, but neither is unsupported either. The pressure feels structural rather than personal. A decision, a reckoning, a weight that has to be acknowledged, but the reception means something civilized is possible. Not resolution. Acknowledgment.
The Sun is also exact on Vindemiatrix, which traditionally carries the flavor of loss and the sorrow of endings. Combined with the Saturn opposition, I would not force anything optimistic out of today. Some things are concluding, and the sky is honest about it.
Mercury and Mars are separating from their square, and Mercury is received by Mars in Scorpio, which takes most of the sting out. A sharp conversation yesterday or last night, mostly spent. Mercury's square to Pluto is also separating. The investigative, interrogating quality of Mercury in Scorpio remains, but the pressure point has passed.
Mars opposing Pluto is still within a hair of exact and will color the week, though the simultaneous trine to Neptune softens its edge, gives the force somewhere to drain. I would be more worried about this opposition without the Neptune contact.
The Moon is at home in Cancer, which is a mercy on a day otherwise full of fall and detriment. She trines a stationary Venus in Scorpio, which is the quiet thread worth following, Venus about to turn direct after weeks retrograde, pausing. The Cancer Moon in the Triplicity mansion carries a martial note that complicates the domestic feel; defending something, perhaps, rather than resting in it.
Background Neptune-Pluto sextile continues doing whatever it does. I remain uninterested.
