Mercury has just crossed into Scorpio and immediately runs into a square with Mars at the second degree of Leo, exact within a degree and tightening. On its face this is the usual Mercury-Mars complaint: words that cut before thought catches up, arguments that start over something small. But Mercury is in Mars's own sign, which means Mars is obligated to receive what Mercury sends. The reception doesn't dissolve the friction; it means the quarrel stays inside a relationship that can hold it. Expect sharp speech that is nonetheless answered, not ignored.
Behind that, Mars is pulling into opposition with Pluto across the Leo-Aquarius axis, and Mercury will square Pluto in a day or two as well. So the Mars square isn't a single afternoon's irritation. There's a power question underneath, something about who gets to decide, and it has about a week to work itself through. The Mars-Neptune trine running alongside is the one grace note here: effort finds somewhere to drain off, through imagination or through physical exhaustion, take your pick.
The Sun opposes Saturn at wider orb, both weakened in their own signs, but holding each other up through the exaltation reception. I keep wanting to call this a stalemate and keep correcting myself: it's more that authority and selfhood are negotiating on borrowed furniture. Neither can insist. That actually suits the day's quarrels; nobody gets to pull rank.
Venus is stationary in Scorpio, in detriment, about to turn. I'd ordinarily say more, but a stationary Venus in detriment speaks mostly by not speaking. Watch what stops moving in matters of love or money and leave it alone for now.
The Moon runs through Gemini in the Net mansion, catching a brief sextile to Saturn in the morning hours. A mansion of capture and timely rain, which given the Mars-Pluto pressure reads less as abundance and more as: what you cast for, you may actually land.
