Planetary Positions · Noon UTC
The Sun in Libra sits in fall, and Saturn retrograde in Aries mirrors that predicament from across the zodiac, each planet in the other's exaltation. This mutual reception by exaltation is the day's quiet backbone: two weakened planets propping each other up, borrowing dignity they can't muster on their own. It's not elegant, but it works. Decisions made under this configuration tend to hold, provided you accept that Libra here is not the polished diplomat and Aries Saturn is not the decisive general. They're negotiating.
Onto that base, the Sun throws off a separating trine to Uranus and a separating trine to Pluto, with a wider opposition to Neptune still hanging around. The Uranus and Pluto contacts have largely done their work; what remains is the Neptune opposition, which will fog the Libra Sun's judgment in exactly the areas where it's already struggling. Mercury, meanwhile, applies to a trine with the North Node, so conversations that point somewhere, that actually go toward a decision, are favored. Take the meeting.
Mars at the first degree of Leo, applying to an opposition of Pluto, is the aspect I'd watch across the coming week more than today. It's still three degrees off. But the South Node sits on Regulus, and Mars has just entered the Lion's own sign: a reminder that Leonine overreach has consequences built into it. Pride and its fall, as the old texts put it, rather bluntly.
Venus in Scorpio remains in detriment, which I keep meaning to say more about and keep not finding the room for. Today the Moon finishes in Aries and crosses into Taurus mid-afternoon UTC, moving through the Bond mansion, good for gathering people. The Full Moon light is nearly complete. Sextile Neptune-Pluto hums in the background; I won't pretend it changes the day.
