Sun opposition Neptune ℞ in Aries · Sun trine Pluto ℞ in Aquarius

The Sun in Libra sits opposite Neptune just past exact, having separated by less than half a degree overnight. Sun in fall here has little to spare, and Neptune, moving fast for an outer planet, blurs whatever the Sun was trying to clarify. If yesterday felt like fog dressed up as insight, that is the aspect finishing its business. The trine to Pluto retrograde, also separating, gave some depth of purpose to counterweight it; the applying trine to Uranus is still coming in and is the more useful of the harmonious contacts today, though at two degrees I would not overstate it.

The mutual reception between Sun and Saturn by exaltation is doing quiet structural work under all this. Each is in fall, and yet each acts as if placed in the other's dignity, which is the traditional consolation for a bad sign placement. It does not make Libra Sun strong. It does mean the Sun has somewhere to send its business.

Mercury is the piece I keep returning to. Late Libra, sitting on Arcturus almost exactly, and within a degree of Spica. Two stars of the benefic sort, and I will take Spica here: writing, negotiation, anything requiring the well-chosen word lands unusually well today. Mercury near the end of Libra is also about to change signs, so whatever you want to say in this register, say it now.

Moon ingresses Aries mid-morning UTC and enters its mutual reception with Mars in Cancer, both by domicile, which gives the afternoon a sharper edge than the Piscean morning. Wall mansion for scholarship and boundaries. Mars opposing Pluto is still four degrees off and applying slowly; I would not organize the day around it yet.
