Planetary Positions · Noon UTC
Mercury sextile Jupiter is the day's clean note, and it separates already, so we're catching the tail: a conversation, a piece of correspondence, an agreement made yesterday or this morning that will keep paying out for another day or so. Mercury in Libra is well placed for it, and Jupiter, moving unusually fast in Leo, gives the exchange scale without much friction. This is the kind of aspect I'd rather see separating than applying, honestly, because you already know what came of it.
Underneath, though, the sky is doing several things that don't resolve into one story. Venus in Scorpio, in her detriment, is still working out a square to Pluto in Aquarius. That's a week-long weather pattern about who holds what over whom in a close tie, and Venus doesn't have the resources here to negotiate lightly. Meanwhile Mars in Cancer, in fall, sits exactly on Procyon: the Little Dog star, which classical sources associate with quick success and its costs. With Mars this weakened, I'd read Procyon less as "seize the moment" and more as a warning about acting on an impulse you can't sustain.
The mutual reception between Moon in Capricorn and Mars in Cancer takes some of the edge off both. They're borrowing each other's dignity, which is why the day may feel more workable than the dignities alone suggest. The Ox mansion supports that: patient commerce, steady labour, the Moon's own preferred mode of Capricorn work even while in detriment. Later, around 17:12 UTC, the Moon crosses into Aquarius and the tone shifts cooler and more detached.
Neptune's applying square to Lilith and its sextile to Pluto are running in the background. I'll note them and move on. The day belongs to the Mercury-Jupiter residue, the Venus-Pluto grind, and Mars sitting on a star it can barely carry.
