Planetary Positions · Noon UTC
Venus takes the day. She's in her own sign, moving through the last degrees of Libra, and applying to a trine with the North Node while simultaneously sextiling Lilith. This is Venus at full authority reaching toward what the collective is moving into, and toward the part of the feminine that doesn't apologize. The trine is the louder aspect on paper, but the sextile is tighter and, to my ear, more interesting: Venus in dignity making a soft angle to Lilith tends to legitimize what usually gets called too much. Reception matters here. Venus rules her own degrees, so nothing dilutes what she's offering.
Mercury also at home in Virgo, moving fast, though under the beams and worth less than his position suggests. Quick thinking, private thinking. Not the day his conclusions get heard.
The Moon is in Leo in the Willow mansion, which is one of those pairings where the mansion argues with the sign. Leo wants display; Willow wants to sit under the tree and grieve. She's separating from Jupiter and from a trine to retrograde Saturn in his fall, so whatever consolation those contacts offered has already been given. What's left is the South Node still pinned to Regulus within half a degree. I keep wanting to soften that placement and I shouldn't. Regulus on the descending node is the classic image of the fall from height, the royal star on the releasing side of the axis. For most readers this won't be personal, but if you've been holding a position on pride alone, the sky is not underwriting it this week.
Background: Jupiter still trine Saturn, loosening. Neptune and Pluto continuing their long sextile, which I'll note and move past.
Venus is where the day actually lives.
