The headline today is Mars square Saturn, already separating by two degrees, and I want to handle it carefully because the textbook read would be harsher than what's actually on offer. Mars is in fall in Cancer, Saturn is in fall in Aries and retrograde, and ordinarily two debilitated malefics squaring each other is the sort of configuration I'd tell people to sit out. But Saturn is in Aries, which is Mars's domicile, meaning Mars receives Saturn: the stronger of the two malefics is the landlord of the weaker. That reception genuinely softens things. The friction is real but negotiable, more like an argument with someone who owes you a favor than a stranger picking a fight. Since the aspect is separating, whatever it was going to do has largely done.
The Moon in Gemini spends the day trailing sextiles off Jupiter and Saturn, both already past exact, which gives the morning a mild helpful residue and the afternoon comparatively little. She's in the Net mansion, a mansion of capture and timely rain, well-suited to work that involves patience and the right moment rather than force. Given the Mars-Saturn backdrop, I'd lean into the Net's patience side.
Worth noting: Venus is in Libra in her own sign and Mercury is in Virgo in his, both dignified, both operating cleanly. Mercury is combust, which I'd normally flag harder, except he's also moving fast and in his own domicile, so he's compromised by the Sun's proximity but not incompetent. Correspondence, contracts, and aesthetic judgments are where the day actually has strength, and I think that's more useful to know than the malefic square.
The South Node sits on Regulus and is stationary, which is the kind of thing I'd usually save for a longer piece. A falling-from-height signature parked over the Leo-Aquarius axis, waiting to turn. It will keep.
