Planetary Positions · Noon UTC
The clear signal today is Venus, and everything I want to say starts there. She is in Libra, at home, sitting on Spica within a third of a degree — the wheat-star, the old astrologers' favourite object in the sky for sheer benefic force. Whatever Venusian matter you're touching — contracts, aesthetic decisions, someone you've been circling — has an unusual quality of ripeness. I don't often lead with fixed stars, but this is a conjunction tight enough to be the day itself.
Against that, Mercury and Mars have just perfected a sextile, both moving quickly, Mercury combust but at home in Virgo and running fast enough that I read the combustion more as urgency than obliteration. The Mercury-Mars conversation is short — call it a working morning — and it hands off into a Mars square to Saturn retrograde that will hang around another few days. Mars is in fall in Cancer and Saturn is in fall in Aries, so this is two weakened planets arguing, which sounds worse than it plays. Saturn is in Mars' sign; Mars receives him. The square happens, but it happens between planets who at least recognise each other's house, and reception of this kind takes the venom out. Expect friction, not damage.
The Moon ingresses Taurus mid-morning UTC, into her exaltation, and moves through the Bond mansion — an old significator for gathering, for putting things and people together. She squares Pluto on the way in, briefly, and then sextiles the node. I'd let the square pass before scheduling anything requiring composure.
Jupiter trine Saturn is still within a hair of exact in the background, and I'll leave it there — it's been the quiet structural note under this whole stretch of weeks, and today isn't the day it announces itself.
