Mercury cazimi in Virgo is the day's real event. The scribe in the heart of the king, both of them in Mercury's own house — this is as clean a configuration as one gets for a piece of writing, a decision committed to paper, a diagnosis, a piece of code that finally compiles. The Sun is received by Mercury in domicile, which softens what would otherwise be an obliterating conjunction into something more like consultation. If you have been circling a problem waiting for the thought to arrive, it arrives.
But — and here is where I want to complicate what I just said — Mercury is also applying to a square with Uranus in Gemini, and the Sun follows behind it into the same square. So the clarity delivered at cazimi is not stable clarity. It's the kind of insight that arrives already picking a fight with the assumption it's meant to replace. Do not mistake the jolt for confirmation. Sit with the cazimi thought for a few hours before you send it anywhere.
Venus in her own sign in Libra is quietly excellent and mostly unremarked-upon today, which is often how Venus in Libra prefers things. Mars in Cancer remains in fall and I have little kind to say about it. The Jupiter–Saturn trine tightening in the background is the sturdier note under the week, Saturn in fall notwithstanding — a debilitated Saturn received into a trine by a fast Jupiter is still doing work, just not the work it would prefer.
The South Node sits on Regulus, which I'd let pass without comment on most days, but with the nodes stationary it wants naming: something being released is something that once wore a crown. Whose, and whether the release is chosen, is the question the chart doesn't answer.
Moon in the Emptiness mansion. Fitting.
