Mercury in opposition to the North Node, with Regulus sitting right on Mercury and on the South Node — this is the whole shape of the day, and everything else has to bend around it. Mercury is at home in Virgo and moving fast, so ordinarily I'd say it speaks with full authority. But it's also combust the Sun, and combustion in domicile is one of those cases traditional writers argue about: does the dignity protect the planet or does the burning override the seat? Today I lean toward override. The Sun and Mercury together are pulling at the nodal axis just as the nodes station, and Regulus is on the burning end of it. Regulus rewards competence and punishes pride, and the South Node is where things fall away. Watch what you say publicly. Watch what gets attributed to you.

Venus opposes Saturn, but Saturn is in fall in Aries and receives Venus by exaltation, which does most of the work of softening this one. It's a heavy conversation rather than a rupture — the kind where the other person has more standing than power. Take it seriously anyway.

The Moon has just moved into Aquarius and is conjunct Altair in the Ox mansion — an odd pairing, the eagle's boldness inside a mansion that rewards steady commercial patience. I'd take the mansion as the frame and Altair as the temperament: push forward on trade and negotiation, but don't mistake the boldness for a mandate.

Jupiter applying to trine Saturn in the background is the sturdier structural news of the week, though it won't show its face today. Neptune and Pluto continue their long sextile; I'll note it and move on.

The nodes are stationary. Whatever gets said into that stillness carries further than it should.
