Mercury approaching North Node in Aquarius · Mercury trine Lilith in Sagittarius

Mercury is combust and applying to the opposition of the North Node — that is the shape of the day. A fast Mercury burned up in the Sun's beams, hurling messages at a stationary node: expect conversations that feel urgent and consequential and then, later, feel like you were arguing with your own reflection. The mutual reception between Sun in Virgo and Mercury in Leo dignifies both by rulership, which is genuine help — Mercury still speaks with borrowed authority even while combust — but it does not undo the burning. It only means the burning has structure.

Sitting exactly on that South Node is Regulus. The royal star on the karmic tail, with the Sun scorching everything nearby: this is the classical picture of a fall from height through pride. I do not mean this dramatically. I mean that anywhere you are currently overplaying your hand — a claim, a title, a certainty — is where the day will test you. The nodes themselves are stationary, which sharpens rather than softens the point.

Venus is in her own sign of Libra and opposing Saturn in his fall in Aries, but Saturn exalts Venus, so the reception cushions what would otherwise be a hard partnership aspect. It reads more like an obligatory conversation with someone who owes you respect than a rupture. Separating, too — most of it is behind us.

The Moon spends the day in Capricorn, in detriment, though the mixed reception with Mars in Cancer means both luminary-and-malefic are behaving with more competence than their placements suggest. The Dipper mansion emphasizes measurement, officials, careful accounting — apt for a day when Mercury is loud and unreliable and something quieter needs to be tallied correctly.

Jupiter is applying to trine Saturn in the background. I will note it and move on.
