Planetary Positions · Noon UTC
The Sun at the very end of Leo has crossed onto Regulus and sits directly opposite the North Node — which is stationary, about to turn. This is the headline, and it's a strange one. Regulus rewards, but rewards conditionally: the royal star gives honour and then watches to see whether the recipient behaves honourably with it. That the South Node is also combust here, within a degree of Regulus itself, tells you what's being burnt off — some old form of Leonine self-regard, some inherited pattern of taking centre stage that the soul is meant to release toward the Aquarian pole. A node stationing is not subtle. Whatever this axis is doing in your chart, it is doing it now.
Venus in Libra opposes Saturn retrograde in Aries, and I want to be careful here because the textbook reading — cold reception, refusal, denial — is genuinely softened by the fact that Saturn receives Venus by exaltation. Saturn in fall is not in a position to refuse Venus much of anything, and Venus is in her own sign. So the opposition registers more as a formal negotiation than a wall. Something is being weighed and made official. The sextile to Jupiter, already separating, has done its favour-work; the residue is goodwill.
Mars in Cancer remains in fall and I'll say what I always say about this: expect friction in getting anything decisively started, and don't mistake exhaustion for a sign.
The Moon spent the day in Sagittarius, conjoining Lilith and trining combust Mercury before crossing into Capricorn late — the Tail mansion, which the old texts give for completions and closings. Fitting, on a day when a node stations and a royal star burns off a South Node. The background trines and sextiles among the outer planets continue humming to themselves; they are not what today is about.
