Venus opposition Saturn ℞ in Aries · Sun opposition North Node ℞ in Aquarius

The headline today is Venus opposite Saturn from the cardinal signs, exact to the degree — and it wants a careful hand. Venus is at home in Libra; Saturn is in fall in Aries and retrograde. Ordinarily I'd expect the harder edge of this opposition to fall on Venus's affairs — a rebuff, a cooling, an old obligation resurfacing to spoil something pleasant. But Saturn receives Venus by exaltation, and that reception is the thing to notice. Saturn cannot quite refuse her. Whatever "no" arrives today is negotiable, or at least it comes with an explanation. Contracts, apologies, and reconciliations belong to this aspect more than heartbreak does.

Underneath that, Venus is also sextile Jupiter in Leo, still moving fast — a genuine sweetener, though separating, so its best hours are behind us by evening. Take that as a nudge to do the Venus-Saturn work early rather than late.

The Sun applies to opposition with the stationary North Node, which means the South Node sits on the Sun's shoulder, combust and pinned to Regulus within a third of a degree. I'd rather say less about this than more, but the classical warning is the obvious one: Regulus rewards those who refuse the temptation to overreach, and punishes those who don't. With the nodes stationary, whatever is being chosen or refused around pride and position has more weight than a single day usually carries. Mercury is also combust here, so counsel is hard to hear clearly — your own or anyone else's.

Mars in fall in Cancer, square Neptune, is separating and mostly spent; I'd not build the day around it. The Moon runs through Sagittarius in the Heart mansion, trining Saturn and Jupiter in turn — a competent, mobile day underneath the cardinal drama up top.
