Mercury sextile Venus in Libra · Mercury approaching Jupiter in Leo

The chart today is doing several things at once, and I don't want to force them into a single figure. Start with the meeting under the Sun: Mercury applying to Jupiter, both in Leo and both under the beams, with Mercury also swinging off an opposition to Pluto and a clean sextile to Venus in her own sign. This is a talkative combustion — ideas forming in the Sun's glare, hard to see clearly, but Venus in Libra receives Mercury by exaltation and softens the delivery. If you are pitching, negotiating, drafting language for something that will later be public, the Venusian reception is doing more work than the combustion is doing damage. The Pluto opposition, separating, is the argument you already had this weekend.

Venus herself is in fine shape — domiciled, freshly trine Uranus, still trailing an opposition to Neptune. A pleasant aesthetic day with a soft-focus lens on it. I would not sign anything requiring you to see someone clearly.

Mars in Cancer is in fall and I keep circling back to that, because the Moon in early Virgo throws him a sextile in the morning and it looks briefly capable. It isn't, really. The sextile flatters a planet that cannot deliver on its own sign. Use it for tidying, not for confrontation.

Now the odd thing. The New Moon just passed sits close to Regulus, and the South Node is on Regulus almost exactly, stationary. The royal star at the point of release, not ascent — this is the mansion of ceremony and fire hosting a lunation that is letting something kingly go rather than crowning it. Whatever you are inheriting from the Leo side of your life is being handed back. Saturn retrograde in fall in Aries offers no useful counterweight.

Outer planets are humming quietly among themselves. Nothing there needs your attention today.
