Planetary Positions · Noon UTC
The headline today is Mars separating from its opposition to Lilith — the sharp edge of it is already behind us, but the residue is real. Mars moving fast in Gemini has been running its mouth for days, and the collision with Lilith at 25° Sagittarius is the kind of confrontation that clarifies who was actually going to say the difficult thing and who was performing the intention to say it. If yesterday was the argument, today is the walk home.
Underneath that, and more interesting to me, the Sun applies to a trine with Saturn retrograde in Aries. Saturn is in fall here and I would ordinarily treat that as a serious problem, but the Sun receives Saturn by exaltation, and reception of that kind genuinely does soften things. It's not that Saturn suddenly works — it's that the Sun is willing to carry weight on Saturn's behalf. A conversation with an older figure, a structural decision made under someone else's authority, a boundary you accept rather than impose: these read well.
The Moon has just ingressed into Taurus, where she is exalted, and she sits in the Bond mansion — a mansion of gathering, of tying things together. She squares Pluto and then Jupiter across the morning, both separating, so the day's texture is one of shaking off rather than encountering. By afternoon she's clean and doing what exalted Taurus Moons do best: steady, tactile, unhurried.
Two things I'll note and not belabor. Mercury sits with Pollux, which favours the bold stroke in speech or writing if you have one ready. And the outer planets continue their long slow sextiles and trines to each other in the background — the weather system we've been living inside all summer, no news today.
Venus in fall in Virgo remains the ongoing embarrassment of the chart. I keep expecting to find her a way out. I haven't yet.
