Venus square Lilith in Sagittarius · Sun conjunction Jupiter in Leo

Venus takes the worst of it today. She's already in fall in Virgo — precise, self-critical, second-guessing her own instincts — and now she's applying to a square with Lilith and just separating from a square with Mars. That's a woman being told, from two directions at once, that whatever composure she's assembled isn't going to hold. The Mars square is walking away but hasn't left the room. The Lilith square is walking in. If something in the affections or the aesthetic life feels ambushed, that's the mechanism: a dignity-poor Venus caught between a fast Mars and the black moon within a degree and a half.

Mars, for his part, is opposing Lilith by evening — quick-moving, in Gemini, sharpening. There's an edge to conversations today that has less to do with content than with pressure.

Meanwhile the Sun and Jupiter are still within orb of their conjunction in Leo, separating now. Jupiter is combust and received by the Sun in his own domicile — which is the softening I'd normally lean on, and I do lean on it, but I want to be honest that a combust benefic is still a muted benefic. The generosity is there; it's just being outshone. Don't expect Jupiter to rescue the Venus problem.

The South Node sits on Regulus at the anaretic degree of Leo — the classic image of the royal star at the threshold, the pride-before-the-fall configuration written almost too neatly. I'd take it as a marker of what's being released rather than something acute today.

Moon is in Pisces all day, in the Rooftop mansion — the traditional counsel there is caution with heights and unstable footing, which pairs oddly and aptly with the Regulus image. The Jupiter–Pluto opposition is still murmuring in the background. I'd leave it there.
