The headline today is Mars sextile Saturn, applying within a couple of degrees and running a five-day window. Ordinarily I'd say a Mars-Saturn contact wants care, but Saturn is in fall in Aries and received by Mars in its own sign — Mars is essentially playing host to a diminished Saturn, and the sextile gives them a workable channel. This is the aspect for slow structural work driven by initiative rather than patience: laying courses, negotiating a schedule, moving something heavy in stages. Saturn can't muster its usual gravity, so Mars sets the tempo.

The Moon runs through Leo all day in the Star mansion — a mansion for ceremony, appearances, anything that wants to be seen. She trines Lilith briefly in the morning and otherwise carries the Sun-Moon mutual reception by domicile: Sun in Cancer and Moon in Leo each acting as if at home. There's also a mixed reception between Sun and Jupiter, though Jupiter is under the beams and can't do much with it beyond lending warmth. The Sun sits on Pollux — the audacious twin, the bold stroke — which pairs oddly and well with the Star mansion's taste for public gesture.

I want to revise something. I said Mars sets the tempo, and that's true for the sextile, but with Mercury retrograde and combust in Cancer, anything communicated today is passing through a badly compromised messenger. The structural work holds; the announcement of it does not. Wait on the email.

Venus in fall in Virgo is quietly unhappy in the background, and I'll note but not dwell on the Jupiter-Pluto opposition tightening overhead — it's been the weather for weeks. The day itself is Mars-Saturn under a Leo Moon in the Star mansion, with a combust Mercury making a mess of anything you try to say cleverly.
