Venus in fall, opposing the North Node within a fifth of a degree, and sitting on Regulus — that's the sentence today writes. Venus is not comfortable here in Virgo; she has none of her own dignity to draw on and the sign's exacting standards drag on everything she wants to do easily. Set that weakened Venus against the nodal axis, with the South Node in her sign, and you get a picture of connections, aesthetic choices, or affections being pulled backward — toward what's familiar and depleting rather than forward into the Piscean unknown. Regulus complicates this. Sitting on the Lion's Heart, Venus is offered a moment of visibility or acclaim, but Regulus rewards magnanimity and punishes pride, and Venus in fall is not in a strong position to be gracious. Something that looks like a win could carry a cost that shows up later.

Mars conjunct Uranus in Gemini is already separating, so its jolt is behind us more than ahead — a nervy few days of quick decisions and mechanical breakages tapering off. In the background Jupiter opposes Pluto and trines Neptune, and Uranus continues its long trine to Pluto; these are the season's furniture, not today's news.

The Moon, exalted in Taurus and in the Fleece mansion, is the counterweight. Fleece is a hard mansion — Pleiades, cutting, endings that can't be walked back — but the Moon is at peak strength here and moves slowly, deliberately. Whatever gets decided under this Moon will feel more grounded than the Venus-Regulus theatrics suggest. Then around 22:40 UTC she crosses into Gemini and the steadiness dissipates.

Last Quarter phase, Mercury combust and retrograde in Cancer, Sun and Jupiter in mixed reception across Cancer and Leo — a day where the loudest signal (Venus on Regulus) is coming from the weakest planet.
