The headline today is Venus, just barely into Leo and still warm from her conjunction with exalted Jupiter in Cancer. That conjunction is separating now — three and a half degrees — so the meeting has already happened, and what we have is the afterglow rather than the event. Venus is also applying to a sextile with Uranus in Gemini, which gives the day a quality of pleasant surprise, small openings, something offered sideways rather than head-on. Nothing forced.

Jupiter sits on Procyon, which is the star I'd watch here more than any of the others available. Procyon gives quick rewards that don't always last — the dog who catches the rabbit but doesn't know what to do with it. Jupiter exalted on that star is a strange pairing: maximum benefic power resting on a star that warns against arriving too soon. So if something opens through the Venus-Jupiter residue today, take it, but don't mistake the speed of it for the size of it.

The Moon is exalted in Taurus through the morning, in the Hairy Head mansion — Pleiadean, severing, the mansion of cuts that don't grow back. She perfects sextiles to Venus and Jupiter on her way out of the sign and then ingresses Gemini around 13:03 UTC, where she meets Uranus. So the early hours are weighty and decisive in a Taurean way; the later hours scatter.

Saturn in fall in Aries continues to be the awkward background note — he's moving fast for Saturn, which I find almost funny, a weakened Saturn hurrying. And the Uranus square to the North Node is separating; I'd call it ambient rather than active.
