The headline today is Venus and Jupiter sitting on top of each other in Cancer, with Venus received by Jupiter in his exaltation. This is about as clean a benefic conjunction as you get — generosity meeting its own welcome. I'd ordinarily lean into that without qualification, except both planets are also sitting on Procyon, and Procyon has always made me hesitate. Swift success that arrives before the ground is ready for it. So: a beautiful aspect, with a fixed star that asks whether you actually want the thing arriving at your door this week.
Underneath that, Mercury in Cancer is applying to square Saturn in Aries, and this is the one to watch over the next two days. Saturn in fall doesn't soften the square — it just makes Saturn peevish, harder to negotiate with. Expect a conversation or a document that refuses to resolve cleanly. The Wall mansion is genuinely apt here, more than it usually is when I mention mansions: this is a day for sitting with texts, contracts, the precise wording of things.
The Moon ingresses Aries mid-morning UTC and immediately enters mutual reception with Mars in Taurus — each acting as if at home, which gives the Moon more steadiness than Aries usually grants her. We're at last quarter, so the lunation itself is in its reckoning phase, not its initiating one.
Uranus is squaring the North Node, which I'll mention because it's tight, but it's a six-week background hum, not today's news. Same for the outer-planet sextiles humming along underneath everything. I'll note that Fomalhaut sits on the North Node — one of the Watchers, and the self-deception register of that star is worth holding in mind, though I'm not certain it's doing much today specifically.
The day lands on Mercury-Saturn. Read carefully.
